6th TEI: Inter-cultural co-creation in planetary health, healthcare professional education and entrepreneurship

11-13 November 2024 - Hosted by the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the 6th Transnational Educational Initiative (TEI) known as GAME-TEI Summit for Future Leaders 2024 successfully took place from 11 to 13 November 2024, attracting participants from 13 institutions, comprising over 100 academics and students.

Inaugurated by Nagoya University in 2019, this year’s GAME-TEI marked a significant milestone as the programme was open to non-GAME universities, thereby broadening the scope for exchange and knowledge sharing. Participating GAME institutions included the University of Bologna, Korea University, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Lund University, Monash University, and Nagoya University. Non-GAME institutions included The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Guangzhou Medical University, Macau University of Science and Technology, Ningbo University, Fudan University, and Peking University.

The theme of this year's Summit was "Inter-Cultural Co-Creation in Planetary Health, Healthcare Professional Education, and Entrepreneurship". The keynote speeches delivered by experts from various countries were insightful and dynamic.

In addition, the Summit featured team-building activities, poster presentations, group discussions on AI in medicine, a panel discussion and a visit to InnoCentres located in Hong Kong Science Park.

Students actively engaged in intensive group work and presentations, establishing a robust network of peers and mentors to support their ongoing growth and development as future leaders. It is truly our privilege to host the Summit to showcase the edges in healthcare education and research in Hong Kong and we look forward to seeing all our participants again in future GAME events.
